I was not crazy about Alexander Wang’s S/S 2012 collection, but I did rather like his T by Alexander Wang S/S 2012 selection. The minimal palette and lightweight fabrications gave the collection a really effortless grace. He did exactly what was meant to do with this collection, create beautiful everyday separates at a accessible price point. Read the full story

“It’s refreshing to see something that isn’t trying so hard to be new. There’s so much striving for newness now that newness feels less new.” – Marc Jacobs
Tough lowered its guard for the farewell wave to Bryan Park. And that was that. New York was quiet. Muted – the palette and the message both. Inspired by sleep, it felt like it. Not that we mind ambiguity every once in a while. Read the full story

Alexander Wang launches his very own e-commerce tomorrow – and here is the preview of what the site will look like. Simple and clean, yet efficient, the site will sell only shoes, bags and tees. I like the design a lot (reminds me a lot of really cool UK online store 20ltd ), and thanks to Style.com we got the code to see it a day before everyone - www.shop.alexanderwang.com

Alex Wang is not the youngest/hypest designer in the world for the past few season for no reason. There are are so many reasons that are making Alex the fashion superstar that he is quickly becoming. He knows by which people he should be surrounded and how to elevate the stature of his company each season. Whether it’s linking up with celebrity model friend Erin Wasson to style and collaborate on his collection or developing his brand into a full collection with leather goods. Wang knows how to create whirlpool of buzz around his every move. This collection of shoes and bags will undoubtedly be a huge success once it hits all the retailers. Currently it is available at Luisaviaroma.com

Staying true to his muse, the 90′s, Alexander Wang delivers a collection which is beginning to get a lot of attention. I cant say that its all positive talk but talk non the less. I happen to think it is very definitive and yet somehow still progressive for his girl. The biker short leggings under what would otherwise be simple silhouettes give him a signature look that will gain a lot of traction in 2009 into 2010. Very Alex! and that’s more than I can say about the progression of many other upcoming designers collection.
